Where's the smell?
6 of 7 found this helpful There was no aroma so as they sing in "PAINT YOUR WAGON" - out the window go the beans. There was NO essence of anything. Enough said.

Movie vs book
I liked the movie better because of music and the acting. I enjoyed identifying the difference of the two and the outcome was not the drama of the movie. I will watch the movie again but I don't think I will reread the book. The characters were better defined in the book Mr. Lowther was far more interesting in the book. Good reading and you can always whistle the tones while you read.
