3 of 3 found this helpful I shot the cheap 2&3/4 winchester rifled slugs through my smooth bore 870 express with this rifled choke and had absolutley AMAZING accuracy. I could almost shoot through the same hole in my target over and over again at 75yds. At worst, we're talking a 2in spread. Never thought I'd be able to do that with a smooth bore slug gun. Amazing. Remington Sluggers were also very good, but not as good as the Winchester. Federal Truball were functional if in a pinch, but not that impressive. Far less accurate and tended to tumble.
Stick with the 1600fps or less for whatever round you choose. I truly believe this rifled choke has made a tremendous difference.
