Great set and quality parts. Excellent instruction too!! On my TD126 Mkii, there were few parts I didn’t need, and two 10uf 100v caps missing. No big deal, I ordered them separately and my baby is turning again.

Good lens for a casual travel

I compared this with Nikon’s 28-300 and decided to go with Tamron. Size, weight and price were the key factors for me. I use prime lenses for most photos. When I go for a short trip, I need a all around lens that doesn’t get in a way. Tamron does a better job in that regard, as it is more compact and lightweight. Image is sharp and AF is fast. For the price it takes very nice photos. There is a lot of distortion like other zoom lenses, so be ready to use Lightroom to correct it. That’s one downside over Nikon lens, as we cannot use the in-camera correction. Not a deal breaker for me. Get it for what it is for and you won’t be disappointed.
