Erratic performance
For the money, this piece of equipment appears to be of decent build quality; a Fluke it isn't. In tight spots, such as trying to tach a blower shaft, you must be perpendicular to the shaft, which isn't always possible. As a result, you may not get a reading or the reading you see may not be accurate. The manual is basically worthless. Most of the time, you try to make it read and you end up fooling around with it for several minutes and get nothing. We ended up throwing it across the room... totally worthless, but to be fair, you get what you pay for. We'll purchase something more expensive from a known manufacturer.

A wonderful piece of equipment. It’s the first piece of Bacharach equipment we’ve purchased, and I am impressed. Relatively light weight, powerful, easy to use. Operates exactly as described in the company videos. I love the single knob operation, automatic cut-off (recovery and purge). Absolutely idiot proof. I spent 5 minutes demonstrating the unit to my technicians and we put it to first use. You connect it up, turn it on, rotate the knob and it turns itself off when it’s done. Very rugged construction.
