Never trust Shingouz!
The first, translated, 'side' stories of our favourite spatio-temporal agents is a real strung-out shaggy dog story, with a punning pay-off. Even if it's not Christin and Meziéres, the characters are right 'on model', though Laureline is a little more scowly than usual, but then she has every right to be when her 'popularity' in certain quarters is revealed. One thing is certain, in the Galaxity-verse, never trust a shingouz. a fun romp recommended for all Valerian fans

Manga Last Kingdom!
Who would have thought there could be a historically accurate manga about vikings? From the creator of the stupendous hard SF Planetes, comes the manga equivalent of 'Last Kingdom.' Compelling and complex characters in a richly realised setting, but don't start here as this is the penultimate volume
Just a shame the story takes a two-year jump over what could have been a fascinating trip to viking Russia and Byzantium

Vital Vickers Views
Finally having found part 1 of this pair, I can unreservedly recommend it to anyone interested in 1930s, early WW2 and British export armour, both for history or model making. Filled with photos in service and in the field, excellent colour profiles, plus precised development and operational histories of the Vickers E types, and the C7P tractor variants. An important work on the subject
