Large scoop is perfect for for metal detecting gold nuggets!
I have previously used these large 64oz scoops in food service and was impressed by the reinforcing gussets built between the handle and the backside of the scoop. So when I wanted an extra large scoop for metal detecting gold nuggets I immediately wanted to try this scoop out. So I bought a couple of these. I find this large scoop especially useful for metal detecting gold nuggets because I typically have to sort through up to a half gallon or so of loose soil consisting of sand, gravel and rock in which my tiny gold nuggets reside. I can spread the soil out over a large area inside the flat bottom of the scoop and wave it over my detector so as to confirm that the gold nugget is somewhere in the scoop. I then divide half of the soil contents of the scoop into another identical scoop to see which scoop got the gold nugget, or in some cases there are two or more nuggets and both scoops have one or more nuggets. Because of this scoops heavy duty gussets I can forcefully scoop up and then hold several pounds of heavy soil in the scoop with no worries about breaking the handle off. As long as I have broken up and loosened the soil first I have no troubles scooping it up. With that said I would not want to try digging into virgin ground with this scoop. For that I'll use a pick and shovel.
It is entirely possible that multiple variabilities of manufacturing tolarancing will conspire to produce a set of crimping plyers that will function perfectly for you. Or, as was the case with the crimping plyers I recieved, all tollaranines went in the extreme to opposite directions so as to result in a set of crimping plyers that was completely ineffective and unuseable in every respect.
The most annoying problem is that the humongous wobble between the two handles such than when the cutting edges clamp down they spread to a form gigantic gap that makes it impossible to cut anything cleanly. The best these cutters can seem to muster is to mush the wire enough to allow me to then wiggle the wire into a fatiuge induced break.
The next most annoying extreme tolarancing problem is the convex crimp being completely misaligned with the conave crimp such that the resulting crimps have a sharp cutting edge in one side.
The diagonal cutting edges are very rough and poorly ground, probably due to poor manufacturing review, maintenance and sharpening of the grinding tool.
In conclusion, I have rarely seen such a poorly crafted and sad excuse for a hand tool. However, it seems likely that the tool I received resulted from a conspiracy between the toleraning a quality control gods all desiring to create the worst possible tool from all available tolarancing variabilities.
But who knows, those same tolarancing gods might per chance look kindly on your purchase and conspire to deliver you a tool of impeccable quality and craftsmanship. Do you feel lucky?

A Very Powerful Yet Small Blower/Duster
When first received and placed in my hand this unit was a bit smaller than assumed from the photos but quite heavy. Though small this thing is amazingly powerful and quite capable of making quick work of very big projects and well worth the price tag.
