Rod too long for my 04 Tacoma

This product is too long for my 04 Tacoma. Once installed, it's so long the threading on the rod does not go deep enough so you can tighten the bolt down, which makes it worthless. I ended up having to shorten the rod, bent it midway and then cutting the extra off. Then it worked. So, not ready out of the box, but if you're handy and you've got some decent tools, you can figure it out.
