Best zoom lenses under 500$
1 of 1 found this helpful If you would like a great, sharp, compact super zoom lens, this is it. Don't look further, you can't find anything better.
(Of course the 70-200L and other L lenses are better, but they are way over 1000$ with same aspects, like IS).
This lens really delivers kind of L lens quality. Image is razor sharp, it has got Image Stabilization, which works perfectly, STM super fast and silent auto-focus, just everything you would need.
I would only consider a more expensive lens, like the 70-200 L IS F2.8 if I would need that extra wide F 2.8 apature. (And of course don't talk about the price)
This lens is really so awesome in terms of nearly every way, that I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to get a superzoom lens. This is your lens, you won't find better for APS-C Canon under 1000$...
There are two downsides only: Plastic lens mount and Narrow apature. But as I said, you have to pay way over 1000 bucks to get those with the same stunning image quality.
