The Last Waltz chronicles The Band during their last performance with their original lineup. They are helped along the way by such artists as Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Van Morrison, and Bob Dylan. It is shot with the care and skill that goes into a great motion picture by Martin Scorcese. The performances are great throughout and the songs grow on you. If you take the time to watch this film at least three times you will understand why The Band was one of the greatest (and most underrated) rock bands ever.

Great album, too bad it's not remastered
This is Roger Water's 2nd solo album (if you don't count "The Final Cut" which was essentially solo Waters). It suffers a bit from dated 80s production but still holds up great overall as a concept album and song by song. Worth getting! I'm just wondering why this album and "Pros and Cons" haven't been remastered.

Engrossing and violent film
Great film. Scorsese gives us what is likely a truer story of early American immigration, not the romanticized nonsense we have have been taught. This film also shows us who really has the power in this country-definitely not our elected officials. Great performances throughout but especially by acting genius Daniel Day-Lewis.
