Not effective on a blocked downpipe
This is a very flimsy device which might be effective in cleaning small-bore pipes which have loose blocking material, but is of no use on an external downpipe blocked with roof run-off debris because it is not strong enough to free the blockage.

A good replacement hose at a reasonable price and speedy delivery
The replacement article is the same as the original. It does the job well and was easily fitted. Time will tell whether it is robust.
