6 pack
4 locks is not enough if you plan on getting other Yakima attachments. I needed 4 for my baseline towers and 2 for my Yakima skybox. This 6 pack meets my needs... for now. Might need an 8 pack or 10 later when I get more attachments. It’s always nice to minimize the number of keys.

It's a must have mod
Fits nice and snug into the swingarm of the Z125. Flip them upside down for an easier lift with the rear stand.

Lightweight and Durable
1 of 1 found this helpful I’ve been shopping for a hitch carrier for a while and decided on this one for my 1 1/4” hitch. I like the flexibility that they also give you an attachment so you can use on a 2” hitch as well. I did research on this carrier and I was confused on if they provide adapters for the different hitch sizes. Note that there are NO adapters. This kit comes with ONE 1 1/4” hitch attachment to assemble to the carrier, AND ONE 2” hitch attachment to assemble to the carrier. So there’s TWO complete separate attachments you can use when you assemble the carrier depending on if you’re using it for 1 1/4” or 2”.
Ok so now that’s cleared up, I highly recommend this carrier. The basket itself is made of aluminum that is riveted and welded all across. The supports are made of heavy duty metal as well as the hitch attachments.
The only thing I did not feel too comfortable was the 4 bolts provided to use on the supports, and the 2 bolts provided to use on the hitch attachment. I made all the holes slightly bigger and used bigger bolts to fill the gaps tightly.
Also provided is a threaded bolt that has a hole drilled at the tip for a clip. This bolt is supposed to be used on your 1 1/4” hitch. I did not want to use this, I wanted to use my 1/2” hitch lock. If you want to be like me and use a lock, you’ll have to use a 1/2” drill bit to drill the hole slightly bigger as well as eliminate the inner threads for any 1/2” pin lock to go through. Once you do what I did, you can test it out by getting your son (120lbs) and yourself (180lbs) and stand on the center of the hitch carrier once installed and see how durable this thing really is.
To give you an idea of 300lbs of weight plus the cargo carrier weight, my cars rear tires from the bottom of the fender are about 4 finger gap before the weight is applied. With the 300 lbs weight applied, my cars rear tires went down to a 2 finger gap. And when my son and I bounced up and down on the carrier my cars rear tire gap would go to 1 finger. You can see the pic it slightly sags with all that weight. Although I do not plan on putting 300lbs our 400 mile camping trip, just wanted to test it out. Also the rear comes with reflector tape which is a nice touch.
