Fortunately the magazine didn't get damaged, that I could tell. For the price paid, I would have appreciated at least a plastic sheet or bag inside the envelope to protect the magazine during shipping.

We have come a long way in understanding lesbians
I discovered from my mother's diary that she had read "The Well of Loneliness" in 1928. I read this book to better understand my mother who was born in 1906. I was suprised at the good writing and compelling story.
This book underscores the attitudes toward lesbianism a century ago and the pain and rejection that lesbians were subjected to by family, friends, neighbors and society.
