The Final Forest: The Battle for the Last Great Trees of the Pacific Northwest

Well written and compelling.

I am traveling to the Olympic Peninsula this month for an Earthwatch expedition. This book was on the reading list. I have only read the first five chapters but I am hooked! The author writes about the battles over the uses of the forest by interviewing and traveling with people on all sides of the problem. So far I think this book will be an excellent preparation for my trip.
