Good read
2 of 2 found this helpful Wonderful fiction. Plot development seems a bit sluggish at first but compels you to keep reading. Better than his first book.
The chapter headings were useful for me to return as a time reference point.
The external "narration" was a nice counterpoint to the third-party narration. The ending, while not a surprise, was unexpected.
The overall premise, while a bit unusual, might actually have been a result of the sentencing regimes instituted by the Bolsheviks.

Odd title...good book
While the title is misleading or deceiving, it provides excellent episodic essays / stories of how our government seeks to protect our men, women, and the equipment that they use, in defense of our country.

Excellent sort of coming of age novel with twists and turns, murder but no mayhem.
