Definitely a Leica product...
This lens looks good with the TL series cameras... is quick to auto focus and is sharp and clear with the images it produces. It is small and light weight.. I use it on the TL camera with an optical finder which represents the correct angle of view....(the Olympus VF1 is for MFT 17mm lens is perfect for 23mm on Leica) and set Auto focus/ Shutter priority/ Auto ISO...It never misses on the type of images I like to take. I purchased the lens with the 'official lens hood' but prefer a screw-in 52mm vented style shade for my snapshot style photography. The f/2 works well in most lighting situations and produces crisp images... stopping down for shots requiring more depth of field works well too by switching from shutter priority to Aperture priority and selecting the desired f/ stop.

Ideal Interchangeable Lens 35mm Film Camera
It is easy to get transfixed by other camera brands for compact 35mm photos. The Zeiss is a happy compromise for many photographers.
It takes a wide variety of Leica, Zeiss, Voigtlander and other brand "M" mount lenses and/or thread mount with adapter.
The viewfinder is easy to see with the 28mm frame and works well with the 50 and even the 85/90. Longer lenses are not (and really have never been) very practical for the small hand-held 35mm cameras and are better suited to a SLR or Visoflex.
Loading film is easy and positive.
Shutter speed range is sufficient for most traditional films with ISO 50, 100, etc in daylight and Higher ISO in subdued light. Shutter sound is better than Voigtlanders I have tried.
Built in metering is basic but accurate enough for general photography. Photographers in the film era used hand-held or specialized spot meters for advanced metering.
Flash synchronization is available at a reasonable shutter speed.. Again during the film era photographers needing more sophisticated flash arrangements used specialized flashbulbs or Rolleiflex or Hasselblad cameras with leaf shutters. Today's higher ISO films significantly reduce the need for flash.
Film is fun to 'shoot' and helps the photographer think about content and composition. Labs or personal scanners yield fine results for album-sized personal prints.
In my opinion.. it is a 'keeper'.
