Successful growth & development of mother & baby Scoby
Wish I had purchased this activated Scoby from Fermentaholics initially instead of the dehydrated Scoby from CFH.
Within a week, this fresh & healthy Scoby has grown larger and is forming a new baby.
I’m excited to watch this new development and progression of a living culture. It has renewed my hope that home brewing can be fun and easy.
My previous experience with a dehydrated Scoby, which has been “activating” for the past 3 months and still hasn’t grown larger or formed a new baby, was a huge disappointment. It just floats on its side like a dead sponge. And it looks like one too.
I highly recommend buying an activated, live Scoby. You won’t be disappointed. Don’t waste your time or money, like I did, on a dehydrated Scoby. The Fermentaholics Scoby comes with 1.5 cups of starter tea. I believe this really made the difference in helping the Scoby transition successfully to a new environment and grow and develop a new baby. Hopefully, you’ll be as please as I am with the results.
