Should have gone with a more expensive model
2 of 2 found this helpful Was excited that such an economically-priced instrument was advertised as so feature-rich! Being a meteorologist, I like to know and track the rain in my back yard compared to the National Weather Service and the model I had before this did the job well. This one only worked for about 45 days before losing radio connection with the base, and even when it worked, did not seem very accurate. The display unit stand won't stay out, so the display keeps falling over. The controls are not intuitive and even annoying, for example, in order to see DAILY rain, you have to have the MONTHLY graph displayed. I would like to have the ability to display daily rain with previous 7 days displayed instead, but that is not an option. I will likely be replacing this one soon and won't skimp on cost this time. Most Taylor instrumentation I have worked with in the past was excellent, but I think they cut too many corners in trying to make this one affordable.

Great for All Preschool-Aged Children
Our 1 year old granddaughter and her 3 year old cousin couldn’t stop smiling and playing with it from before we even got it completely set up! We finally had to drag them away when it started getting too cool. It will be used a LOT this summer!!
