I'd buy it again
The more you reuse it the less "clingy" it gets and it stretches out after a while but mine has been used 4 time on 3 rifles in the middle of a cold norther Michigan winter and it's still useful. I'll bet it performs even better in warmer weather. It holds in heavy snowfall but don't know about rain yet.

It works, but...

Practical
4 of 4 found this helpful I'm a retired police officer and I don't like hanging a lot of gadgets on my guns like they're Christmas trees. They add weight, they get caught on clothing, in the bush and it's just one more thing for Mr Murphy to mess with. My wife keeps a Glock 43 on the nightstand for home defense and carries it concealed for personal defense. Statistically it is more likely to be used as a personal defense weapon during the day and as a home defense weapon at night. A light source to illuminate the target indoors in the dark is indispensable. A laser to designate the point of impact makes hits all but certain. This unit meant I didn't have to choose between the two because it has both. The rounded design without edges is well thought out and won't catch on clothing or on brush outdoors. The switch is perfectly located so as not to interfere with a proper grip. It adds little weight and frankly on this particular weapon, it actually helps balance the gun in a small hand. And if that wasn't enough, there are already holsters out there to accommodate the light so you don't have to go custom (expensive). It's easy to install. By all appearances it is well made and will hold up under real use. Streamlight products are not cheap but in my opinion this one was worth every penny and I'm trusting my wife's life with this combination of a reliable gun that she can control and a point/aim system that doesn't feel like an add on gadget; it feels more like it's part of a weapon system. I hope I never have to review it's actual use but if it does get used, I'll be back with that report.
