TomTom GO Model 520 SatNav
3 of 3 found this helpful This item was bought mainly with my daughter in mind as she travels quite a lot in her job, often to areas distant from her home or work base and has needed some more efficient guidance than a paper map which clearly is not practical to follow when actually driving.
In the time that she has now had it , after my purchase on Ebay, it has proved itself of excellent value and use. She has some experience with other similar SatNav products but still regards this model as probably well earning a 5-star rating and altogether a completely satisfactory product.
This item has certainly proved an excellent Ebay purchase and can be recommended.
The ONLY disappointment is one that appears from other written articles to be common to pretty well all users - the inadequate atttachment of the unit to the windscreen, as the provided rubber sucker just does not stand up to continuous movement of the car in motion. It is a pity that the manufacturers seem to have ignored this quite well known feature - only providing some sort of flat base for attachment to the dashboard as an alternative, although whether that is a full solution has not yet been tried. It is a pity that this alternative is not actually supplied as part of the initial kit, as I believe that windscreen mounting itself is not always totally satisfactory , depending on the style and design of the individual car in which it is used.
However, this detracts nothing from the quality of the TomTom GO 520 - the product itself is well recommended to any potential buyer.
