Not good for high frequency response

I bought the product to try to use as a position sensor to sense 20 fins on a spinning shaft. Response of the device would only work for very slow shaft speeds. Product worked to sense an aluminum target and would be great to sense position of a slow event or the relative position of a door or window. The frequency response should get listed in the specification.
