SIGMA ROX 11.1
I have used my Sigma Rox 11.0 for over 4 years. It replaced a Garmin head unit that I used for two years. I should have purchased a higher end Garmin, I purchased the Edge. The Rox 11.0 is a black and white screen with a good backlighting system. Using the Garmin Connect software I was able to download routes to the Rox 11.0 and its navigation software was easier to use than the Garmin's. Now my first impressions on the ROX 11.1. The ROX 11.1 is made to work with SIGMA's RIDE app that one has to download on their smartphone. This is the default. The user depends on the app for setting up their unit. Connecting with sensors, HR, Cadence, Power, Speed, etc. is very easy once the user figures out the little menu buttons. Setting up the user profile and switching bikes, indoor, Mt. bike, or road I think has to be done with the app. On the 11.0 one could store 3 bikes on the head unit and then pick. Now I find myself having to go back and switch bikes. The screen is clear and it has a bright display. Changing screens with the buttons on the head unit is just like the older version, so for me that is good. Setting up the screens and getting them downloaded to the head unit is not as straight forward because one does not receive a message stating that this process has been accomplished. Hopefully I will get used to the new twist, I just seem to like the older version better.

another giga pipe bottom bracket
This is the 5th bottom bracket that I have installed on our tandem. Since we have the TruVativ Tandem crankset with its Octilink drivetrain we are stuck with this. After a few thousand miles one can expect ot hear a thunk thunk thunk coming from the bottom bracket. Keep riding, all will be revealed when the bearing housing is ground away!
