Educational and fascinating gadget. Good value for money.
3 of 3 found this helpful I was surprised to find that it cooled the "cold side" down to MINUS 6*centigrade and a thin layer of ice actually formed on the aluminium fins. This was discovered by fixing the temperature sensor, of one of these small, battery operated LCD display temperature indicators (that I purchased at the same time), on the fins and placing the fins in a small, clear plastic, container.
I doubt that it has the capacity to cool anything more than something like an empty box 100mm by 100mm by 100mm, but it is certainly an educational (showing the "Peltier" Effect in action) and fascinating toy.
This device is inexpensive for what is (about £10),it would be just the sort of thing to buy for a child who is interested in science. Or just an inquisitive adult who likes gadgets.

Lovely pictures and verses.
I liked the way that variants of the image on the front are also printed inside the card. This is usually only found in more expensive cards. The verses are also more imaginative and meaningful than is usually found in cards of this price range. I could not make up my mind which one I wanted because they were all so good, so I bought seven!
