Saved an expensive trip to the garage

I had a stubborn lug nut that would not come off with a 950 ft/lb impact gun, & I ended up rounding the corners on one of the lug nuts really bad. I bought a set of these extractors to try & with a 1/2" breaker bar & a pipe on the end of it for additional leverage, it spun that mangled lug nut right off. Great rescue tool. A must have for any do it yourselfer!

Replaced on a 2008 Avalanche

Have ordered from Detroit axle a few times now & for the most part I've been very satisfied with their parts. These shocks fit great & so far perform very well. They looked like a much better build quality than the old ones that I took off the truck. The old ones were not factory Bilstein's though. Ride quality is great, we have some pretty rough roads here in the Northeast, so time will tell how long they last. Installation was easy & the fit is great. If you are on a budget, Detroit axle parts are the way to go without spending a ton of money.
