Detailed and excellent
Although this book was written in 1994 most, if not all, of the information about El Malpais, Mt. Taylor, and the Zuni Mountains still applies. I lived in central New Mexico for ten years and visited all three areas more than once. This book includes the history of the areas and short sketches of some of the folks who live and/or lived in the areas. Recommended.

The best generation
I still think the 3rd generation reader is the best Amazon has made. I have two of them. I also have a Paperwhite and a Fire 8. Neither are worth the powder to blow them up.
