A pleasant hot drink in its own right and a good coffee substitute
Been using this for about 20 years as a substitute for ordinary instant coffee. (I'd discovered coffee didn't agree with me). I tried a lot of the substitutes on the market, but for me this was easily the nicest and closest to the taste I was used to. Make it just as you would your normal instant coffee.
In fact I can and do drink coffee now- usually one cup a day but still use Bambu for most of my daily hot drinks. It's like a mild coffee, but has a nicely rounded flavour-some of the other substitutes I tried were a bit thin.
My husband has been known to absent mindedly make himself a mug of it and drink it without realising it's NOT coffee....

Great light reading to take you out of yourself
Enjoyable light reading- think Agatha Christie updated and moved to the Caribbean. The latest of 4 novels which are further cases for the original 'Death in Paradise' TV detective team- Richard Poole, Camille, Dwayne and Fidel. The stories are new, not rehashes of the TV episodes.
Personally I think that the TV series has lost something recently, so it's nice to be reacquainted with the original (and best?) characters.

Does just what I wanted.
Bought a very cheap second hand kindle at the time of the first lockdown, when I could no longer get to the library or charity shops. I read a lot and this was a useful addition to buying physical books online. I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy it, so didn't want to spend a lot.
In fact, this version does everything I want it to- can access the internet and listen/watch YouTube as well as reading books. Very easy to use and useful to be able to change font size, background brightness etc.
Because it's an old version it no longer allows you to download audio books and there are a few other limitations- what games you can download, for instance- which don't bother me.
It's an old machine so its battery life is only average- I have listened to YouTube for up to 4.5 hours before needing to recharge, and have been able to read for much longer.
All in all a good buy at the price.
