You get what you pay for
The camera was a good deal way cheaper than average similar items so I went for it. Looked good at first, I tested the camera when I got it: It switched on and recorder just fine, footage looked good on computer.
However when I took it out for doing real stuff it failed to record for longer than 10 minutes or so. Then I tested it better back at home and found out that it seems to overheat when recording video and after 10 or 15 minutes or so crashes out... So it's no good for recording videos longer than 5min reliably. It can take photos no problem...
Can't blame the seller, really - the camera might have developed a fault after he sent it to me. He said it worked fine when he had it and I have no reason / proof to claim otherwise. This is the risk with second hand stuff I guess.
What I'm left with now is a photo-only-action-camera and a good amount of mounts etc., high price for them tho.
