Purchased this on spec knowing it was a knock off of an American brand, quality is okay, but it is about 1/12 of the cost of the original made in USA, so if you take that into consideration quality is good. One fault if you can call it that is that the instruction manual is not all that clear, but if you look up videos on youtube it becomes much clearer how to use it. You can also buy the original stones which will fit this sharpener if you want to upgrade the stones. If you are competent at sharpening or a novice, once you work out how to use it and get the feel, it is i great sharpener for the money, if would not hesitate to buy another one. Have sharpened 3 knives so far, and got them to the sharpness i require, could get them a lot sharper if i wanted to. The key to this sharpener is, take your time and be patient. The edge will come, and once you get the feel for it, is good little sharpener, especially for the price.
