Broken Bins on Arrival
The small stubs that holds the bins in place and allow them to tilt and capture before tilting too far were broken off.
4 of the 6 drawers had at least 1 stub broken. One of the drawers at 3 of the 4 stubs broken. One of the stubs broke off in my hand. The attached photo shows a bin immediately after unpacking and reveals 3 of the 4 stubs have broken off. I have other Deflecto identical Tilt bins and after 20 years of use not a single tab has broken off.

Blocks air to Oil Cooler, Engine runs hotter
Its a good thing to protect the delicate parts of the engine with a skid plate and doubly so for the DL1000 since unfortunately Suzuki mounted the oil cooler down right in the path of rocks and debris. However, with this skid plate greater than 50% of the cooling air that the radiator would normally see is now blocked. YOu can see from the picture the holes and openings use to allow airflow but unfortunately is was not engineered to allow the necessary amount of air to adequately cool the oil. The orginal plastic guard totally exposes the oil cooler to oncoming air. The result is very hot engine oil and in turn affects the engine running temperature and in my experience raises the temperature by 20% (since Suzuk also dumbed down the engine temp it only shows 5 bars so where as my bike would run at 2 bars normally, with this skid plate it will run at 3 bars). Another side effect is a rapid darkening of the oil from a honey amber to a dark burnt brown and I believe this color change represents a rapid degradation of the very hot oil.
