good if you want bass comparable to Sony MDR-XB600 limited xbass but indoors only
I was planning to buy Sony MDR-XB600 limited edition again (lasted 12 years, but had to replace all elements except speakers themselves, still works but super uncomfortable), but bought those instead because they were cheaper. They are better built, have better sound and stay on head better. The only downgrade is the cable, feels somewhat flimsy for such price. Sony's cable is this fancy reinforced tape type that could probably hold my weight if I tried hanging myself from a door handle and I just would not try that with Beyerdynamic DT770. Also any kind of rainy outdoors is out of the question with DT770 because of that fuzzy fabric on earpiece.
