Some discs scratched due to poor, substandard packaging by the manufacturer
I have heard nothing but great things about "The Wire", however this review is about the packaging. Even though each disc was placed in a thin plastic sleeve some of the discs are scratched. Having just received the series I cannot say if play back will be affected. In my opinion this is unacceptable for a brand new product.
Update: After watching the entire series twice I have not experienced any playback issues but, the quality of the dubbing is very poor at times.

Love food?
A dinner and a show, one of my favourite movies of all time. The newly restored version looks much better then the copy I have been watching for years. Very tasty!
