Excellent Value for Price
2 of 2 found this helpful We highly recommend this tricycle! Our five year old asked for a bike with a trailer to pull her baby sister for Christmas, and this one fit our budget and is the gift that keeps on giving. What we love most about it is the sturdy construction and all-terrain wheels. Our three older children (ages 5-10) can ride the trike while pulling a sibling behind with ease (it’s a little tight for our very tall ten year old to ride but still fun for everyone with no complaints!). It’s stood up to heavy daily use for the past few months.
It’s simple enough for one adult to assemble alone. The directions weren’t very intuitive in a few parts, so be sure you don’t leave this to the very last minute (like we did on Christmas Eve) in case you don’t have the right tools. You’ll need a wrench and the proper size of hex key to assemble. The only stumbling block for us was trying to disassemble the pedals that were shipped fixed together with a stubborn bolt- it took a bit of creativity but we eventually managed to get them apart and assembled the tricycle properly without too much grief. Just don’t leave it until the last minute!
We’ve had to tighten the handlebar twice over the past months with heavy use, but feel that the purchase was a fantastic value for the price. One thing to be aware of is that the wooden barriers in the wagon aren’t nailed down, so you can pull them off easily. It’s versatile depending on what you want to put in the back, but kids can easily pull them off. The pieces are attached by a little staple and may need to be replaced with a small brad with heavy use (this happened to us with one piece). This certainly should not deter you from purchasing the bike, just something to be aware of.
We highly recommend this set. The children in your life will thank you for it!
