INNOVA Pro-Timing Light 5568
I was able to use it right out of the box, albeit I had observed a technician using one like it once before but never had my hands on one before purchasing it. Because I had never used a digital, multi-function timing light before, it took a little bit to understand the several modes available and how to set up the device for specific engines, i.e. the number of cylinders for the engine being diagnosed. However, instructions were pretty straightforward once I was familiar with the functionality and terminology used. It was easy to understand the connections and once adjusted for the specific engine being diagnosed, the readings appeared accurate and corresponded to readings I took with different instruments. The beauty of this multi-functionality is every reading is available in one instrument and you can scroll back and forth between readings, e.g. timing, tachometer, dwell, to cross check these parameters.

Bissell ProHeat 2x Heat Solenoid Valve
Of all the listings I saw on eBay at the time of purchase, this one was for the exact replacement part at a reasonable price. It fit perfectly and solved my issue. I had trouble with this machine spraying carpet cleaner from the start so I suspect my original solenoid valve was defective. However, I wasn't using the machine regularly and didn't recognize the problem in time to get it fixed under warranty. The other problem with these machines is they are very sensitive to not flushing out the detergent solution after use. I didn't realize this and that fact may have contributed to it's failure to spray cleaning solution and rinse water because the pump and plumbing had debris and were partially clogged when I examined the machine. Fortunately, I was able to clean the other parts, including the pump, so the solenoid valve was the only part that needed replaced except for several vinyl tubes that I tore when disassembling the plumbing.
