below expectations
This arrived well packaged and in a timely manner. However, it was not what I expected. I assumed it would include traditional methods using embroidery patterns in painting designs, symbolism paintings used in pysanky or even in icons. This was mostly floral painting decorations on items. While it was still pretty and gave instructions for different strokes in achieving that, it did not meet my expectations at all. It is a very thin paperback book, and it was on the pricey side. If you want floral patterns and techniques, it may prove helpful. I decided to keep it, but will continue looking for what I would like.

Special story about special people and animals.
If you liked the PBS series based on these books, you will enjoy reading these stories as written by the author himself. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
