A good starter unit for the amateur or hobbyist.
2 of 2 found this helpful The item arrived on time. I was packed very well. For packing purposes the carry handle was supplied loose with its fixings and top over spring loaded locking mechanism.
On assembly it was found that the top cover retaining mechanism was insecure and the unit could not be lifted with the handle. Despite adjustments it still remains insecure and a I am using a webbing strap to prevent the top cover opening up when using the handle to lift the unit.
The instruction/data sheet supplied with the unit is quite adequate for preparation of the unit for use but does not provide any guidance or instruction for setting for materials to be welded. This would be useful as the unit is priced for amateur users and hobbyists who may not have much or any previous experience with MIG welding.
