Great camera for eBay Pics
This is a great little camera for taking pics for items you want to list on eBay because it's just so simple to use. It's very easy to set the "white balance" to "Tungsten" so your pics come out looking natural (instead of blue!), turning off the flash so you can take pics without light reflected off the item, and setting the lens to "close up" which helps it focus to extremely close objects. You can even set the focus on manual for closeups, and then move the lens to the correct distance from the object until it is in sharp focus (think of the old rangefinder camera concept in reverse.) I can't imagine how difficult it would be to accomplish such easy tasks with my Digital SLR camera (No, I haven't tried.) The only downsides to these cameras are they certainly don't last forever (maybe a year or two with regular use), and they're getting harder to find on eBay for a reasonable price. I just received a "backup" today (my other one still works, but for how long?) which only cost about $25.00 delivered and is in "like new" condition. So I should have another 3 to 4 years of hassle-free eBay picture taking ahead of me for very little dollars invested.
