It seems to be of good quality, and yet, I am uncomfortable writing a review.
2 of 3 found this helpful Since I have had experience with fluid filled vacuum syncronizers, I am inclined to believe the fluid ones are more honest... My dial ABN, came out of wack, but there was some screw adjustment to bring it to zero, But after a single use it was back out of wack, so I can chalk it up to operator error, and I would, if it came with a manual... Consider what I am working on... Late seventies and early eighties xs1100s... If the carbs are sinced, there may be other issues like leaking valves that would affect reading, but what is needed is something to get the carbs close to balanced, and then, adjust idle down, and ultimately run it in gear on the center stand, and get the best rpms without if firing into the exhaust- too rich- or into the carbs, too lean... Idle down and repeat, but be aware of the spark plug color, because this can tell you if the idle mixture screw needs to be tweeked... It is easy with the dampening screw to lose all sensitivity, and to me, that is a problem... I was thinking about trying to dampen with a full set of gas filters in line, but I have not gone so far yet... Like I say... I am no mechanic, but I think I might have been better off with a fluid filled...If the opportunity arose to answer about the quality and value, and offer a recomendation, I would go right down the middle at this moment... Given time, I might decide more positive or negative, but I personally hate to malign anyone's product when my own failure might be the cause of my dissatisfaction... Thank you... James Sweeney
