All of these will fail....
0 of 1 found this helpful An unfortunate consequence from their choice of component suppliers. Rework is involved, requiring many parts to be replaced. And each replacement increases the probability of "accidents".
It's truly rare to see any consumer product requiring this level of intervention. Problem is well known. Search wikipedia for "capacitor plague".

It's inexpensive - but....
4 of 5 found this helpful Summarized: Too many limitations.
In 2017, no plan should be incapable of tethering. And while it's not completely clear why we had so many problems trying to port to Verizon (my first choice) with a standard A1662 iphone SE ....that mess would leave a bad impression on anyone. Could be Red Pocket. Could be Verizon. How would any customer know?
If you need a really cheap connection for irregular use within areas your normal carrier doesn't cover - it's a fair deal. Not good - just fair. And be prepared to connect only through your phone.
Red Pocket has good support which sincerely tries to fix some of these issues....but the product itself falls short of alternatives. Would not go this route again if we had overs...

If you don't really need this model to support old hardware - RUN FOR THE HILLS!
0 of 2 found this helpful Because *every* one of these units will fail, and it's by no means certain they can always be resurrected.
That's what happens when you save money with Chinese capacitors. The gift that keeps giving. So be ready to replace all of them. If you're very lucky, you might not be required to changeout the surface mount components, only the conventional caps. But no guarantees - so the possibility exists that this unit will fail on you over and over again.
Your bottom line depends on how much punishment you can take, and how long you're willing to keep your old hardware running.
They work well when they work.
