Excellent for Parents with Autistic Children/Teens
The title says it all..Loving Push sounds like common sense; helping your Autistic child to learn to navigate the world, but it’s hard to do it alone! I found this book reassuring; reminding me of why I need to push even when it hurts. I skipped bits I found obvious and case studies ( I find them a bit patronising, but some people love them! So totally understand why they are used) If like me you do not have support from your child’s school, so not have a dedicated teacher working with your child you will have to just bear the happy comments along the book of parents who do!.. all in all a good book. I ordered this to help a single mum who’s child is autistic and is being loved and given all the easy options, but who needs pushing and God willing this book will help the mum see the bigger picture.
