Good idea, but it didn't work.
I was hopeful, but this didn't work at all on ticks. Tried it 3 times. Didn't work any of those times. Still had to get alcohol and tweezers and pull off ticks. But it was a good try.

Fence Fork
The Fence Fork I purchased is making the job a lot easier. It saves time and work, especially if you have a lot of T-post clips to work on with your fence.
