Watermark detector
It does what it was advertised to do at a very small price. I got it to identify watermarks on stamps.

They do the job.
In the old days hinges were used to mount stamps in albums. It lowered their value. It wasn’t uncommon to have stamps fall off the page or get snagged by stamps on the opposite page. With these mounts, if used correctly, the stamps are never entangled with other stamps. You don’t lessen the value and you can remove the stamps from the album by just lifting up the mount and retrieve the stamp without having hinge marks. Why would you want to remove the stamp? Maybe it was used and you want to replace it with a mint stamp. Sometimes it’s not centered well or had a cancellation mark that obscures important parts of the stamp. All of these things can happen when you use these stamp mounts.
