The Vintage/Modern Midway
This string set finds a happy middle sonic ground between older-time classic guitar tone and more modern convenience. The first three unwound strings supply standard (but heavier) bendable utility, while the last three wound strings add a more-classic tonal richness than ordinary round-wound strings. Not as deep or rich a character as flat wound but closer to the tone your classic old guitar produced back in the time when all metal strings were flat wound.

Reasonably Priced made-in-California Strings
The Fender 2250L Electric Mandolin string set is a must-find for players who have a magnetic pickup on their mandolin and need ball-end strings. If you have a four-string mandolin, you are getting a real bargain.
