Absolutely wonderful unit!!!!!!
I've used about every type of soldering iron in existence and several different temp controlled soldering stations. Nothing has ever come close to this unit.
It heats up very quickly and maintains the set temp with remarkable stability.
I do wish it had a temp readout and a light to indicate that the power is on. It has an indicator light that tells you whether the temp set has been reached but it goes off when the temp is reached and comes back on when it drops below that setting, coming back on until it reaches that temp again. ( a second or two usually.)

Very nice item!
This product is well made and engineered. I can't remember the last time I bought something that I didn't need to mess with!
Also appreciate the fact that I could get it in a color other than black!!!!!! Makes it so much easier to identify mine at the
cripple convention!!!!!!!

Good design and well made
Cast base plates presumably brass, nicely gold plated, easily replaced buttons (secured to shaft with machine screws) no discernable backlash, adjustable tension, everything you want in a quality machine head.
I ordered another in chrome/nickel plate that appear to be identical except for the plating although I'm not sure if I ordered it from the same supplier.
