Don't Fit Original 1980's Steinberger L2 & XL2 Bass
These GHS 5630 strings don't fit an original 1980's Steinberger Bass L2 or XL2.
The D string is too long so you can't tune up.
GHS Technical Support say too bad & didn't offer any option or return. GHS said they changed the lengths so they are different to the original sets sold in the 80's. Maybe they fit Spirits & the like however packaging says they will fit Steinberger basses & Steinberger Licensed Basses, i have 4 sets to say they won't fit an 83 L2 & 86 XL2 however GHS 5600 do.......
I bought 4 sets of these expecting them to fit & gave good feedback, now Talkbass can't be contacted anyway so i guess i should have thrown a set on before this.
The GHS 5600 sets fit perfectly picture of approximate string length difference & so do D'Addario ESXL160.
