Starter Motor Arrowhead BMW R 1100 RT Cast wheel ABS (1996-2001)

Fits perfectly.

Quite a choice of after market BMW motorcycle starters available and I don't really know why I chose this one, possibly because the advert was more appealing, although I suspect they may all be made in the same place and branded by each dealer. Product arrived when the dealer said it would, well packaged and looks to be well made and comes with a comprehensive test certificate. Castings are a little different to my old Valeo unit but fits perfectly. Battery reconnected and hit the button, the bike started perfectly far easier than it has in the 5 or so years in which I have owned it. All in all a happy customer.

Motobatt MB51814 Gel Motorcycle Battery for BMW R 1100 RT 93-00

Unreliable Rubbish

I bought the Motobatt MB51814 for my 1100 BMW on May 8th and after about 600 miles it let me down on July 17th while on holiday in France. Motorcycle was recovered to a French dealer, battery and charging system were checked with the battery being the failed components. New battery fitted, a different make I hasten to add and the bike runs perfectly. MPW don't want to know as I do not have the old battery as I could not carry it back from France although I did manage to get a picture showing the serial number and I also sent them a copy of my repair bill. My advice to anyone would be, do not buy one of these, read the reviews on the Internet, you will see there are lots of failures and many unhappy customers.
