Cleats on side, flats on the other. Perfect for what they are!
Great pedals, very sturdy and a bit on the heavy side which is not a problem for me as I'm not looking to break any land-speed records. Easy in and out with great retention when you want it. I used and abused a prior set of these and wanted to add them to my new commuter/urban beater bike as well. Cleats on side, flats on the other. Perfect for what they are!
