Good value option for 1080P gaming for titles over 3 years old
For the price i paid for this in the current climate, i am really happy with it, runs cool at 60-70C absolute maximum while out performing its rated specs with the boost functionality.
OK, this wont play the very latest greatest games and it wont do RTX but it will play GTA V on 1080P with very high settings at 75FPS - which unless you have gone 1440P 120Hz is absolutely fine.
I have always been OK with playing older games as i play them more for the gameplay than the Graphics - so i like strategy and sim games which often dont need the latest greatest - also i sadly lost my GTX780 which was also performing OK on my older prefferred titles.
This card out perfoms its specs with boost, its quiet and the temps stay manageable - it does heat your room up a bit though, i guess that the heat is at least getting out of my case.
In the days of £1500 GPUs - this was a bargain

Perfect AM3+ board with good overclocking ability
1 of 1 found this helpful Nothing to complain about with this board, installed easily on windows 7 and runs reliably from day one.
The phase control and the VRMs make overclocking fairly easy and you can do it either in the UEFI bios or in software environment.
The ASmedia SATA ports don't run at full bandwidth but this is a known issue, it still speeds
SSD up to way more than conventional HDDs.
Am happy with this board, its a great 990FX
