SKS B53 Commuter II Fender Set: Black 700 x 38-47

Nice Looking Fender at a Good Price. Much Effort to Install.
All fender components are either stainless steel or fiberglass. Thus, they will not rust. This particular model from SKS is about 10 mm wider than my tires (650B x 47C). The fenders successfully keep the water and mud off me. I was a little concerned when I ordered that they may be too narrow. As it turns out, they work fine. The installation was much more time consuming than I expected. The fender stays have to trimmed. This requires installing the stays and marking where they need to be cut, removing them, cutting and reinstalling. They must be very precisely installed to center the fenders so the stay bolts do not rub against the tires. Fitting the bolt covers onto the stays requires manual strength to squeeze the fender and deflect it out of the way when placing the covers. I would probably order a wider set next time to give more clearance between the bolts and the tires. The black fenders look nice with my gray Cannondale bike. The price was very good, much lower than the alternates from other manufacturers that would also fit my bike. They seem sturdy enough to last, but I would not call them heavy duty.

Good Resource for Quantum Mechanics at Graduate Level
I wish this book had been available when I was a graduate student in Physics during the mid-70's. It requires an advanced knowledge of calculus and even higher mathematical disciplines like matrix operations with complex operators. The book has many worked out examples and many more problems for the student to demonstrate the principles. I found it best to read the text and gloss over the equations with the first reading of each section and then go back and read carefully and follow the mathematics in detail the second, third, etc. times. A brilliant person will understand it all the first time. It takes me several exposures to understand. This book is highly recommended for the graduate level student.

Power Receptacle Box is Sturdy
The box is strong with predrilled attachment holes. I used a hammer drill to make holes so I could mount it to a brick wall. There was sufficient room in the box to bend 10 gauge wires to mount the plug into the box. It did take a strong push to get the plug seated. The box is weatherproof and will provide a shield to rain or snow when a power cord is plugged into it.
