I been welding for over forty years and I got this toy because of its size, and when I tried it out, the indicated current seemed to be much , much higher than actual. I had to turn it way up beyond what I am used to on my good ole work horse that I have had for those 40+ years. (Had to replace the power cord on it recently because of dry rot).

Careful

Put 5 these batteries together in a pack and used a Tenergy balance charger with a monitor cable attached and the first and only time I used the pack it didn't last very long and got very hot. Let it cool down OUTSIDE and opened it up and found one of the cells had completely melted the plastic cover off and affected the two next to it. Checked charge level on all, 4 were nearly still fully charged and the heated one was dead. Do not know if the other cells will behave the same way or not, when and if I replace the bad one(?). If I decide to try again I will be very cautious about where and when I use it....

Easy to use and setup

So far working just fine, no issues with centering tolerance. The only issues I have are very minor, first i wish it had 4 mounting bolts instead of the 3, no problem from this though, just my wish. Second I wish the bolts were a little longer, the plate it is mounted on is over 14mm thick. I can easily solve this by getting longer bolts myself in the near future.
