Toliet needed a top
The original equipment just up and split one day, with a snap. Thermal stresses over a very long period (greater than 20 years) and a poor casting job at the factory caused the failure. The replacement was a perfect fit, right color, and the weak spot where the previous one cracked appears to be much better. Much cheaper than buying a new toilet and a whole lot less work. I am glad people are starting to make parts of older equipment available. From a distant vantage point, much better to recycle, than to replace. And the seller made some bucks!
