An almost perfect set of bluetooth earbuds
1 of 1 found this helpful + Excellent sound quality for music and audio in general. It sounds the same as my Razer Kraken v2 headset.
+ Stays in the ear, without wobbling around. My last pair of bluetooth earbuds would start falling off even at jogging speed. The JBL Epic2 stays secured in its original position without causing discomfort.
+ Very big battery capacity. I was using them for about 1-2 hours per day for 5 days straight without charging and the battery was at about 30-40% on the 5th day, which is a great amount of battery life.
+ A hard case for storage and transport is also contained in the package, providing a secure place for storage.
+ The cable that rests behind the neck does not cause discomfort.
+ Very good sound isolation. With music at about 20-25% volume, I can barely hear what's going on around me.
+ The (remote) controls on the earbuds are functioning as expected (toggle play/pause, next/previous track, raise/lower volume, answer calls, etc).
- The microphone is positioned a bit further away from where it should be. During calls there were times that the caller could not hear me properly. Additionally, it's impossible to bring the microphone in front of the mouth while wearing the earbuds, due to the microphone's placement which is very close to the ear. That's the biggest drawback I've noticed while using them.
- Need to wear both the left and right piece at all times while using them. In case you are only wearing just one side, the other side is dragging down the one you are wearing and that causes discomfort.
- It may be a bit tricky to find a technique to wear them at first (because of the memory wire ear-hook), but practice makes perfect. I've been able to wear them in seconds after 1-2 days practice.
- The wire is very very thin so I recommend that you don't put any additional stress on it because it feels like it would snap.
Overall, it's a great pair of earbuds (as it should be considering its price) that offers excellent sound quality and can last for days without recharging. It does not constraint your mobility and is comfortable as well. The only flaw that's worth mentioning is that the microphone is not properly positioned and that may be troubling during a call.
